I think the only problem is that most politicians and directors of famous companies are very old and their English (with a capital 'E' ) is HORRIBLE,
but they have to talk English sometimes. It's good food for Youtube, sure, but embarassing for their company or country imo...

no, thats wrong. old people CAN learn English. Professors had find it out. you can learn all your life, every day and evey year. but i think they dont like to learn much more. the most people learned all time of their life. the new generation should learn english. old people with old knowledge in their work places, and new people with new knowledge there.

important is English because the computers use that language, the language is simple and lots of people can learn it qickly. but english should not be the first language and your last language. you should learn more languages but only not learn "latein". you can learn spanish, french or italy for example. the most people are speaking that languages and not all understand english.
